Randeur (RAN-deeoohr): A title given to the leader of the Order of Sheason. In the Language of the Covenant, it is thought to mean: “Descended below them all.”

Reader: A branch of the Scola given entirely to the study of history and books for the purpose of relating the stories to others. Readers are often considered to be seers and scriers, as well as historians and fanciful story-tellers.

Rend, the: A mighty crevasse wrought by the collective power of the Sheason during the War of the Second Promise.

Rhea-fol (RAY-fohl): A dramatic presentation with actors typically inspired by a historical event.

Right Arm of the Promise: Name given to the people later known as the Sedagin for the zeal and loyalty of their service in the War of the First Promise. See Sedagin.

Rise of Shalin (SHAW-lihn): A major battle which took place in the Shalin Hills east of Con Laven Flu.

Riven: Leader, known as First Blade, in Sedagin patrol party.

Rolen (ROLL-en): Sheason imprisoned in dungeon at Solath Mahnus in Recityv.

Round Dashing: A game in which children fill a large chalked circle and attempt to dodge balls thrown by other children standing outside the circle.

Rudierd Tillinghast (ROOD-ee-ahrd Till-eeng-Ghast): From the Language of the Covenant, meaning: “Restoration of all things.”
